日前，香港几所高校在中国内地的招生工作正在紧锣密鼓得展开。北京大学，清华大学在中国高校“老大”的地位正在受到香港几所大学的冲击，一场“北大清华顶尖生源流失” 的讨论正在激烈展开。

Top Mainland Students Wish to Study in Hong Kong
Nowdays, several Hong Kong universities are engaging in enrolling new students on the mainland. There is much heated discussion currently occurring centering on the proposition that “The best students from Peking University and Beijing University are leaving."
In 2005, Chen Xiuye, the highest scoring student in the College Entrance Examination in Beijing, enrolled at Qinghua University, but finally he chose The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology after much deliberation. Liu Yang, another top ranking student from Guangzhou, gave up his place at Fudan University and also chose The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
More generous scholarships, more opportunities to go abroad and better employment prospects are three attractions of universities in Hong Kong when recruiting new students from the mainland. Huang Yiqian, the man in charge of mainland enrollment for Hong Kong University, gave us an attractive example: Four years ago, a top scholar from Shanghai enrolled in Hong Kong University. After graduation, she found a job in HSBC in Hong Kong with a salary of 700,000 Hong Kong Dollars per year.
